Zoom, zoom..damn

Fri Dec 14th..Well we hoisted the hook about 8:15am...one boat already had an hour head start. By the time we had the sails up and going he was 6-7 miles ahead.....yep another race...a small speck of white on the horizon....wind in the am was 15-18 from the E-ENE.....we were going high 7's low 8's.....that speck kept getting larger...by noon he was within range.....passed him about 2pm....damn we are good.

Then the wind dies and we motored into Key West and on to the anchorage....had to try getting the hook in the right place 3 times.....better now than when the wind is 30kts and you are on another boat....had our best pizza yet...(yes, absolutely the best pizza) hmmm....maybe we should think of a Pizza and Fajita boat to pay for our cruising....another story...later....
