As we rounded Cape Fear in the dark there was only a sliver of a moon - it was over the bow - and it seemed larger than I have ever seen it! Of course there is no picture of that...you'll have to trust me! We have been seeing lots of birds...the Atlantic Pelicans...the Atlantic seagulls...various other seabirds... We've had many dolphins swim along with us...and even saw a little turtle! Paul showed me how he talks to the dolphins (in dolphin language - and he swears that they understand him)...for those of you who know me I talk to my Z condo guest gecko's (in English and I know they understand me)...so I may have a new language to learn!
We are relaxing just outside Charleston for the day - the sun is out and it is getting a little warmer (maybe in the 70's today)! It will be so nice to put away my winter hat, gloves, wool socks, and three layers of coats! Paul was not joking about me being cold!!! This lighthouse is just outside the Charleston jetty...
I have gotten a little mixed up a few times as we have headed south down the coast...with land being on the starboard side (sunsets over land - sunrises over the ocean)...not the port side (as I grew up with it being). Good thing that the Lady H has cruise control/autopilot or there is no telling where we might be!!!
