I went out for a walk on Thursday...just to take some pictures around the Marina...and ended up taking none. I did however sit for a few minutes and chat with Jami the owner of a liveaboard dive boat tied up next to us at Fantasy Island Marina. I asked if he ever went out diving just for fun...and, next thing you know...I'm going diving the next morning! We each loaded and took our respective dingy's around the back of Fantasy Island (the wind had picked up a bit during the night and morning) to a rock spit where we tied the dingys! Jami was great! We did a quick dive buddy check, he did a dive review and off we went to the sunken DC-9 and The Prince Albert wreck! He was very patient and watchful!!This little guy (Yellow-line Arrow Crab) climbed aboard Jami's leg...and then decided he didn't want to go for a ride after all! I even handed my camera to him so there are a few pictures of me (I knew you would appreciate that mom)! And, although I'm not much of a wreck diver...I did do some swim through's...Visability was not the greatest...but it was an easy wreck dive at 50 some feet! Some huge fish...Angelfish...Spadefish...and this little guy...Flamingo Tongue...
So thank you Jami!!! I got to go diving yesterday and it was fun!! After all...we ARE in Roatan!
