Greetings from obamaland

Thur Mar 3 12:33 PM Atlanta Ga
Last Sat I may my way back to obamaland on Delta. One goes through more security screening to get into the country than to get onto a plane, I should have come across the Mexican border...would have been a lot easier and quicker. Took me almost 2 1/2 hrs to get to the hotel by the airport Sat night. Sunday I rented a car to move up to a hotel by the hospital...so I didn't get stuck with the extra charge of returning ad different location, I decided to return the car to the airport and take the obama light rail "MARTA" . For 2 bucks the train will take me from the airport south of Atlanta to Sandy Spring up close to the hospital in Roswell, a distance of about 35-40 miles. I have never been a fan of the government's light rail program....but this was the 1st time I have ever rode one. Upon leaving the airport, the train was 1/4 full at most...mostly black employees from the airport. Most of them get off at the 2 stops closest to the airport....I was the only white rider in my car....as train proceeds north maybe 10 people all black got on and off. My final destination was Sandy Springs, in the affluent white area of northern Atlanta. It's the end of the line, so everyone got off....about 10 black and 5 white with luggage, I'm guessing from the airport takeing the 2$ train rather than the 85$ shuttle.....My point on all this rambling is that all this light rail is just another transfer of wealth. There is not 1 light rail system in the US that is profitable. All are being subsided by the taxpayer. OK of the soapbox..
Tomorrow I go under the knife 1 more time....getting the neck cut on for the 3rd time....hopefully this will give me back some function of my legs.....Joyce and I have decided it's time for us to Sell the Lady H and start looking at the trawler route. After this surgery I will have a hard time looking up at the sails unless I lay flat on the deck to look up. We will start getting her ready to formally put on the market. We will be making some decisions on where we keep the boat...now thinking Roatan due to easy access from the states. That way we can still enjoy the diving and low cost living....and I will be out of obamaland........More after the surgery.....Capt Paul
