Three Dive Day...

Yes, it was all that and more...the more being ummmm...not so nice...but that will be explained later. Don and I were the early divers...off the dock with the gear and probably onto the dive ball by nine o'clock. We went to the dive site where Capt Paul, Beth and I took our dive together last year...one of Capt Paul's favorites. I took the big cameraThe flash was being cantankerous the entire dive...
yes, I probably should have put new batteries in it...or checked it like Paul tells me to do each time before a dive...Spotted Drum...
Banded Coral Shrimp........... Should I admit that almost always it is operator error?! I did manage to get a few nice shots anyway...and the wall and the dive were as beautiful as I had remembered...
short the Atlantic Spadefish and Chubs though! Wonder where they went?

I got back to the boat in plenty of time to relax for almost an hour before Denny came over! Then off we went with dingys and gear to a beach nearby. Through the "drills" and onto mastering buoyancy and equalization...Denny is a mighty good student (for his age...ha ha ha)! He asked all the right questions...and did everything with seeming ease! No pictures yet...but once we have more time under the water together...the camera will come!
Now, to the ummmm part...when Denny and I returned to the Lady H, she had been moved...not only moved...but sloppily so. Yes, I was upset...no communication here at this Marina? It's not like I was out of the country or even gone for the entire day...nor was it some emergency...one of the boats they were bringing in had been at anchor for a couple of days...sorry piddly excuse! And, then to leave one of the lines in the water loose...the water hose wrapped around the rear step bumpers as a trip hazzard...the boat farther away from the dock (with my mom arriving tomorrow) and the line ends left on the deck as a trip hazzard as well! I've always been taught when you are dealing with someone elses possessions...to put things away, at least as you found them, if not better than you found them. My ummmm...things were worse than the way they found them...I guess my expectations for this Marina were too high? Should I make the excuse...after all we're in Honduras? Shouldn't really fly...it was Americans that moved the boat!!!

So while I was being a little "pissy...about what had just happened...who arrived but Enrique (Pelican). We had met Enrique and Kathryn in Bonaire a year ago or so and we had gone diving together then. Today Kathryn was loaning me her dive buddy for the afternoon dive! Since he had gone in the morning with another group to the same wall Don and I had gone...we decided to go to the Coco View Wall. I hadn't had a chance to get the big camera up and running again, so I just grabbed the little one!
And, for whatever reason...the pictures of this dive are so enjoyable (to me...I hope to you as well)...This Yellow Line Arrow Crab was protecting something from this little fish...and, this Yellow Line Arrow Crab...well not sure...but if I had the time...and the money...I would just sit and watch all of the different critter relationships going on under the water! If it was the afternoon sunlight than made the entire wall look different...I'm not sure...Way too many of these around...although when we came back to the dive boat area... in the water were six or seven dead ones floating. Apparently the Marine Preserve people had speared them...and then just dumped them...This had to be the one clawed crab from Stan, Don and my dive last week. Huge Black Margate...remember bubbles go up...somehow I missed this beautiful scene on the last dive...Enrique following a French Angelfish...Beautiful colors...it was as if this was my first dive again...
more pictures than I can even comment on......Once again, a reason to dive...both Enrique and I came up from this dive with huge smiles on our faces! Which of course brings me back to the best part of the day...it was a three dive day with three different dive buddies! Each one contributed to an amazing dive (underwater just seems to have that "amazing" affect on me) and having a wonderful day. Thank you guys!!
